The Ministry of Health (MOH) just recently has updated the MySejahtera app to allow group check-in before entering any premises. This is really practical for those who come in a group of families as you don’t need to spend time to check-in one-by-one or worst, write it manually on the paper if your family members don’t have smartphones.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the new additional feature was develop to cut time spend during the check-in process yet still following Covid-19 standard operation procedures (SOPs).
If before this, only one individual is allowed to check-in via the app and for those who don’t have access to smartphone are required to manually record their details on paper at any premises, but now, you can do group check-in through the app easily.
Let’s say your grandparents or your children don’t have access to smartphones, you can help them to check-in using your smartphone. Here’s how you can check them in on MySejahtera app:
1. Launch MySejahtera app and on the homepage, select “More”
2. Then, on the pop-up menu, you can click on “Manage Dependents”
3. Simply fill in the details of your dependent. For example, your parents, grandparents, kids or any family members who don’t have smartphones
4. And you’re done
Once you’ve finished filled up all the details, you can straightaway use it to check-in. In order to do group check-in, the next time you have to scan a QR code to check-in, there will be option appeared on the screen “I’m with” and select any person yo want to check-in together. So, you only need to scan once for yourself and the rest of your family.
According to the app, there is no limit on the number of individuals that can be entered as dependents as long as they are your family.
