Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz has revealed that eligible Malaysians will receive the RM 50 ePenjana e-wallet credit by the end of July.
According to the news, Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul has said that the final details including the mechanism to credit the RM 50 into e-wallet and the procedures that will be implemented will be announced soon.
Through ePenjana credit, this initiative is expected to benefit about 15 million M’sians
The RM 50 ePenjana credit is an initiative announced under the PENJANA economic recovery plan where eligible Msians will receive a one-off allowance of RM 50 from the governemnt.
It aims to encourage Malaysians to adopt contactless payments as well as to boost consumer spending. Under PENJANA, the government has allocated RM 750 million for this initiative and it will benefit about 15 million Malaysians.
How to get free RM 50 e-wallet credit?
To recap, the RM50 ePenjana credit will be given to all Malaysians aged 18 years and above, with an annual income of less than RM100,000. The eligibility is the same as the RM30 eTunai Rakyat that was introduced in January this year.

Furthermore, eligible receivers must download the MySejahtera app to qualify for the RM 50 e-wallet credit. The e-wallet credit can only be used for offline or physical purchases.
On top of that, users can also expect to receive an addition RM 50 worth of vouchers, cashbacks and rebates from e-wallet service providers. Meaning, users can actually reap a total of RM 100 in benefits.
