Shopping malls are taking the necessary precautionary measures as in enforcing social distancing rules as shopper reappear after the government announced Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) allowing patrons to go to the malls.
However, many people are still not taking social distancing seriously where some malls were seen with people queuing without 1 metre space between one people and another.
So, to educate shoppers the importance of practicing social distancing, a local shopping mall, Sungei Wang Plaza, KL went the extra mile (it’s more than just putting up signage and stickers).
The Sungei Wang Plaza has taken the floor stickers to a whole new level

As certain public places have been allowed to resume their businesses during CMCO, including malls, they’ve been putting up signages and stickers on their floors to ensure shoppers adhere to the social distancing rules.
According to a twitter posted by @myjoe, Sungei Wang Plaza, KL is making social distancing a fun thing to do by letting shoppers play Pacman, a famous video game!
No excuse for not following the social distancing rules
A number of measures continue to be implemented within the mall to support social distancing. Shoppers must keep the 1-metre distance to use the ATM machines to help prevent the transmission of Covid-19.
The mall also implements mandatory body temperature checks for every person before entering the mall
Besides, the mall also supports good hygiene practice by providing hand sanitisers at every entrance and it is mandatory for every person to have their body temperature checked before entering the mall’s vicinity. Shoppers also need scan the QR code provided and fill in the details.
Good job Sungei Wang Plaza!
