For the first time, Ministry of Entrepreneur Development (MED) will organise the largest entrepreneurial event; Minggu Usahawanan Nasional 2019. This initiative by MED is to support the newly launched National Entrepreneurship Policy (NEP 2030) which acts as a catalyst and roadmap towards achieving Entrepreneurial Nation by 2030.
MUN 2019 is expected to attract 50,000 visitors and 3,000 entrepreneurs from various sectors who will be involved in various activities conducted throughout the event. With the theme of “Entrepreneurs as The Heroes of Malaysia’s Economy”, MUN 2019 will be held from August 29 until September 1st at Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) Serdang, Selangor.
1. The largest exhibition for local entrepreneurs showcasing their products and services
This 4-day event provides a solid and effective business networking platform for local entrepreneurs, governments, corporations, and industry players to explore opportunities in the business world. The objective of this entrepreneurship event is to boost economic development and accelerating the growth of SMEs in contributing to Malaysia economy at large.
The National Entrepreneurship Week 2019 will feature 14 pavilions and 88 exhibition booths from 14 states with over 3,000 entrepreneurs showcasing their products and brands. The exhibition incorporating 8 ministries, 20 government departments and agencies as well as 56 entrepreneurs and non-governmental organisations.

4. Learn about entrepreneurship through the Pocket Talks and sharing sessions
There will be a few industry experts from various backgrounds to share their insights and tips on entrepreneurship. Representatives from Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre (MaGIC) will give a pocket talk on Social Entrepreneurship 101 and there will be a talk conducted by the Centre for Entrepreneur Development and Research (CEDAR), a wholly-owned subsidiary of SME Bank too.
5. Widen Halal market reach
The event’s highlights for entrepreneurs would be the conventions. Several entrepreneurial conventions will take place throughout the 4-days event covering the Halal segment. MUN 2019 will be organizing the Halal Go Global Day with various activities to join such as Halal Explorace, Halal Clinic and a few Pocket Talks.
6. Empowering the role of women entrepreneurs
Besides, MUN 2019 will showcase the Women Entrepreneur Convention for the first time as a token to recognise the role of women in entrepreneurship and their significant contribution towards the economic landscape. There will be an announcement on the Women Entrepreneurs Icon on August 30th during the Women Entrepreneurs segment as well.

7. Come and suppport the Celebrity Bazaar
This is a great platform for you to meet and greet with some local celebrities through the four-day event. Celebrity Bazaar powered by Tekun and Primavalet provides an effective platform for ‘celebpreneurs’ (celebrity entrepreneurs) to sell off their products. Some of the celebrities that will join the bazaar are Ayu Damit, Mawi, Shuib and Rody Kristal to name a few.
8. A fair price promotion throughout the event
In collaboration with the Malaysian Cooperative Commission (SKM) and ANGKASA, visitors can enjoy the fair price promotion happening from 29 August until 1st September from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM. All the basic necessities such as flour, rice, sugar and cooking oil are offered at such a reasonable price compared to the local market.
9. Over 50 booths selling Malaysian food

10. Join the heat! Rakyat Run 2.0
Bank Rakyat once again is proud to organise the Rakyat Run 2.0 as an initiative to help promote health and well-being to the community. There will be two categories which are 3.5 KM and 7 KM which will be held on 1st September 2019 (Sunday) at MAEPS Serdang, Selangor in conjunction with the MUN 2019.
